Doing what is commanded…

In Mark 3: 5 Jesus commands the man with a withered hand to stretch out his hand – to do the very thing he can’t do.  The man could disbelieve Jesus, after all he had a withered hand!  Or the man could trust Jesus, and do the thing that he couldn’t do.

Similarly Jesus commands us to love God and love our neighbour.  He enables us to do what we cannot do.  Let’s give thanks for the times we see that happening, and turn back to him in trust when we don’t.
